  • In 2018 Tayler Chapin opened the doors of Hive Hot Yoga to the Magic Valley. Since then, hundreds of yogis have joined the studio and started on their own yoga journeys.

    Tayler started practicing yoga in college where she enrolled in a yoga class that sparked her interest. Shortly after, she came across a Bikram yoga studio and after one taste of hot yoga, she was hooked!

    “I fell in love with the heat, humidity, static postures and the same routine. It was always challenging both physically and mentally and it kept my attention.....my mind didn't wonder, it couldn't....it was too hot. I was never really interested in the "spiritual" aspects of yoga. I loved the physical part of yoga. I enjoy watching my body in the mirror get stronger and more flexible, and do things I never thought it could do. But of course that "spiritual" part followed. I find myself in a better place mentally when I maintain my practice.”-- Tayler

    Tayler started Hive in Twin Falls after realizing that there wasn’t a studio in the area that offered everything she really wanted. When the perfect space showed up on the market, she leaped at the opportunity and created a studio for her and others who wanted the same thing out of a yoga studio. Hive is a yoga centered studio, it’s a place where all are welcome and each student can pursue their own yoga journeys in whatever way serves them best.

    Outside of Yoga, Tayler enjoys spending time with her little one, Vivien who’s a spicy one in all the right ways! Her and her partner Chris met in Ketchum where they like to spend a lot of their time together. They have two pups; Maddox & Charlie and can’t imagine life without them!

    She loves all things active and outdoors, or simply doing nothing at all. She also has a garden that keeps her busy. She loves digging in the dirt and watching things grow!

    Tayler primarily teaches Hot 80 & Hot 60.

Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?

  • I was lucky to find yoga in college. I instantly fell in love with it, and it helped me keep me grounded and in the moment. Fast-forward to 2019 I had a friend reach out and ask if I wanted to do the training with her. I almost missed the opportunity and I’m forever grateful I carved out the time to do it. It is by far one of the best choices I’ve ever made. I got trained at Hive in 2019. I never looked back. I would be in a very different place if it wasn’t for yoga.

    Ranie is also a certified Reiki Healer and enjoys including healing vibrations and mental health boosting meditations in her classes. Join her for a transformative experience.

  • Hi, I’m Josie! I’m from right here in Twin Falls Idaho. As an Idaho native, I enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer including hiking paddleboarding, snowboarding, and mountain biking. I’m also a big fan of hot yoga as you might have guessed!

    I was initially drawn to hot yoga by the challenge and faster pace. Once I tried hot yoga I was hooked!

    I enjoy the hot class because we truly have to focus on ourselves. Our breathing, our bodies, and how we are adapting to the heat. We get to let go of our day, responsibilities, and worries and be selfish for that time. A lot of healing and self-realizations can happen in 60-80 minutes:)

I have the power to create change.

  • While in this sunny California city, I developed an addiction to hot yoga and later received my yoga teaching certification in 2010.

    I continued yoga and dance as I attended graduate school, where I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. Since that time, I have participated in specialized yoga training for prenatal yoga, vinyasa, pediatric, and hot yoga. I also enjoy teaching in-depth anatomy and physiology classes to yoga instructors in order to strive toward safe and informed yoga practices. Each day, I am touched by the power that physical healing can have in restoring and rebuilding one’s quality of life.” – Sami

    When I’m not at the studio, or working as a physical therapist at the Center for Physical Rehabilitation (CPR), you can find me eoutdoors running, hiking, backpacking, or rafting with my family.

    Sami is a founding member of the local non-profit Women’s Giving Connection. She has three beautiful, adventurous sons. Sami, and her husband Rudy, are from Twin Falls originally and are thrilled to be back near family and part of this fantastic, progressive community.

    I received my RYT 200 from Hive after being a client for 2-ish years. I got my certification so I could teach yoga at the high school; now, I’m privileged to teach both there and at Hive!

The light within me honors and respects the light within you.

  • I began my yoga journey when I was 17 years old at the local YMCA. I wandered into a yoga studio, like so many before me; a little lost with no idea what I was doing and simply there for the physical benefits. A mini-lifetime of team sports and competitive cheerleading equated to a less-than-healthy relationship with both movement and myself—so then, I got really, really into yoga.

    After some long talks with myself, I decided to take a yoga teacher training because I heard that Hive was opening, and I knew I had to be a part of this community. Here’s the thing about Yoga specifically, it somehow settles itself a little deeper in your soul whether you want it to or not; it’s really truly just about you. A wildly selfish, just somehow forever selfless discipline that will undoubtedly change your life. I have waded through so much more than I ever expected when I first stepped onto my yoga mat, and continue to do so with every class.

    I want students to know that yoga is an evolving practice that can grow in any direction you wish to take it.

    Teaching yoga is never ‘just’ teaching yoga, it’s self-exploration, vulnerability, and endless engagement with the students who show up eager to learn and continue the cycle.

Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?

  • I am a mom to 4 kids full time. Going back to school to get my degree in social work to become a therapist. And a part-time yoga teacher.

    I’ve always been intrigued by yoga. And during an especially stressful moment in time I decided to dedicate myself to a regular yoga practice. Magic followed. I decided then to become a yoga teacher. In 2019 I received my 200 hour yoga teacher certification through Hive Hot yoga. I didn’t feel done. So I did my 500 hour yoga teacher certification through Sage Yoga with an emphasis on trauma sensitive yoga. I received my 500-hour teacher certification in 2022.

  • I started my Yoga practice at the age of 36. Feeling ready for a change in life and wanting a workout similar to dance, I found a Hatha yoga class in a town nearby. After the first class, I was hooked!

    Later, I found a power yoga class where the music inspired me and my practice. I eventually enrolled in teacher training for more education and have been an instructor for 17 years now!

    Many great relationships are formed under the common bond of Yoga. I’m a true believer Yoga is for everyone!

  • My first yoga class ever was a hot yoga class at Hive when it first opened. I knew after about 6 months of regularly attending classes that I wanted to teach. In 2020, I decided to do my training online with Yoga Renew, which is based in Hoboken, NJ. I am an RYT-500.

    I am a born and raised Idaho girl. I have two kids, Ari and Kaysen, who keep me very busy with sports and being their chauffeur! When I’m not at a kid’s sporting event, my husband Kash and I enjoy spending time in the mountains. I love summers, sunsets, and my dogs!

  • I’ve been practicing yoga for several years and have always wanted to share my passion by becoming a certified teacher which I did in June 2022 and again in June 2023 at Hive Hot Yoga.

    I love to teach the hot classes because I love the energy in the room and guiding everyone through the postures. I also love teaching trapeze because it is new to so many people and it’s exciting to see clients succeed in postures they never thought they could do.

    When I’m not at the studio, you can find me hiking, kayaking, cycling, and spending time with family and friends.

  • I found strength, fitness and agility in the practice of yoga.   • After experiencing a severe car accident resulting in injuries to her back, spine, neck and shoulders, Griselda faced a long journey of surgeries and recovery. She underwent two back surgeries, a shoulder surgery, and was eventually diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. These challenges ultimately led to her retirement from running— her favorite form of movement up until that time.

    “Yoga has played a crucial role my healing process—physically, mentally, and emotionally. It has shown me that I can still remain active and find peace, even without the long runs I once relied on. After practicing yoga for six years and experiencing its profound benefits, I decided to share this transformative practice with others. Yoga is so much more than just physical exercise; it is a powerful, all-encompassing journey of healing and self-discovery.”

  • As a teen and dancer, I found yoga to be a more gentle way of connecting to my body while still getting all the benefits of movement. As I got older, I noticed that yoga was impacting my life on more levels than one. The deep breathing helped me to cope with anxiety and stress through college. 

    When I became pregnant with my first child, I leaned into yoga to help support me through the mental and physical demands of pregnancy and birth. Two kids and some years later, I’m still in awe of the power of yoga. 

    I promised myself that yoga would be a lifelong practice. The call to become a teacher was always there, but I finally took the leap in the Spring of 2024. I am humbled and honored to share yoga as an instructor.

  • I started doing hot yoga around 2010 at a Sumits studio in Boise and fell in love with the heat and intensity of the class. I had never done yoga before and really enjoyed the workout. Over the years, and with constant repetition in the class, I started to become more aware of the mental side of yoga and breath work how improved by practice and overall well being. I always thought it would be fun to teach so in 2019, I decided to take the leap and certify. I signed up for a yoga teacher training offered at Hive that was a split between yin yoga and hot yoga, which hindsight was an amazing balance to experience. I knew I would enjoy learning how to teach the hot class but I never thought I would enjoy yin as much as I did. Yin was challenging in its own way and really helped me learn to drop my ego and fully immerse into the other aspects of yoga. Learning about the two yoga disciplines, experiencing the balance, and going through the 200hr training really opened my eyes to everything yoga could offer. My certification only scratched the surface and I look forward to deepening my learning and practice as I go through life.

  • With very little yoga experience, I decided to give hot yoga a try in 2019 when Hive opened. Hot yoga quickly became my haven for stress relief by allowing me to challenge myself and utilize exercise to improve my physical health as well as my mental health. After 5 years of consistent practice I decided to pursue my Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification in 2024 to deepen my personal practice and through the training I also realized I truly enjoyed helping others connect with their own practice. I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to help and support more yogis to find the same love and connection I’ve found at Hive and through yoga.

  • I have been practicing yoga since I was 18, when I signed up for a semester course my first year of college. Best decision I ever made.

    Since then, yoga has been a safe place for me to express myself, learn, and gain strength. It has enhanced my fitness journey, by helping me connect better with my body. Yoga keeps me present and has gotten me through so many challenging times in my life. I finally got certified in 2020, but didn't have many opportunities to teach at the time. After moving to Idaho in 2022, and 2.5 years attending classes here at Hive, I am lucky enough to start teaching. I am so happy to bring the knowledge and love I have for yoga to other yogis.

  • I was introduced to yoga through its use in therapeutic settings and was drawn to how effective it is for the body. I wanted to be able to teach it to my daughters for that reason. Since completing teacher training, I’ve come to appreciate its impact on the parasympathetic system and how it helps calm the body through breath and awareness. I am grateful to share yoga with others and to support people in feeling more grounded, connected, and at home in their own bodies.
